Senior Software Engineer - Python (f/m/d)
Starting date: as soon as possible
Our compensation package: €70,000 - €75,000 in yearly salary, €20,000 - €40,000 in equity, and up to €5,000 p.a. in company benefits.
Work model: Full-time, hybrid in Munich
Your role
You build the software that integrates the first generation of smart industrial MRI systems. You evolve our software architecture and provide technical leadership to ensure the highest code quality in our fast-paced environment. By leveraging the latest software development trends, you introduce best practices for software and data governance and drive the development of scalable and robust AI-powered imaging solutions.
This role allows you to unlock the potential of MRI technology, transforming it from traditional clinical settings into fully automated industrial applications.
Your day to day
Developing and optimizing software for edge devices, integrating seamlessly with MRI and automation hardware.
Integrate complex systems in the lab, making sure MRI systems, AI models, and industrial automation systems work together in a coherent and reliable way.
Collaborating on software design to meet business needs with scalable and sustainable solutions.
Maintaining and optimizing Python code, developing automated tests, and managing CI/CD pipelines.
Identifying software risks, and providing mitigation strategies.
Improve software development life cycle and release management processes.
Conduct thorough testing to ensure integration success and troubleshoot any emerging issues.
Offering mentorship and guidance in technical practices within the team.

Experience and skills
Proficient in Python backend development with substantial experience in managing version control systems like Git and Linux scripting.
Experienced in developing and maintaining scalable software and managing CI/CD pipelines.
Experienced with version control, Linux scripting, RESTful APIs, containerization, and orchestration tools, as well as with at least one observability stack.
Skilled in analyzing complex systems and effectively communicating with a range of stakeholders.
Experience in deploying and maintaining software in production environments.
Demonstrated expertise in code collaboration and eagerness to innovate.

Experience understanding and diving deep into complex setups with multiple subsystems and interdependencies.
Experience working with MRI systems and medical imaging technologies.
Interest or experience in the latest IoT technologies and industrial automation solutions.
