Senior Product Architect - Hardware (f/m/d)

Starting date: as soon as possible
Compensation package:
€70,000 - €75,000 in yearly salary and €20,000 - €40,000 in equity. Additionally, up to €5,000 p.a. in company benefits
Work model: Full-time, hybrid in Munich, and occasional travel to suppliers or potential client sites is required up to 20% of the time. 


Your role

As a Senior Product Architect - Hardware, you’ll be a key player in our System Engineering and Integration (SEI) team, shaping the future of AI-powered MRI imaging. 

In this role, you'll combine deep technical expertise with innovative thinking to define product requirements, drive conceptualization and prototyping, and oversee the technical development of cutting-edge solutions. 

This position combines the strategic vision of a product manager with the hands-on, deep-tech expertise of an engineer, emphasizing creativity, innovation, and the exploration of uncharted frontiers. It involves leading groundbreaking projects and advancing engineering processes to drive cutting-edge solutions.

Your day-to-day

By leveraging your diligence and excellent problem-solving skills, you unlock the next stage of our products by:

Prototyping

  • Drive the prototype and pilot stages of new product development.

  • Define technical requirements and specifications for new product features and prototypes. 

  • Collaborate with suppliers and consultants to define technical requirements, design initial product prototypes, and ensure the development of new products meets criteria designs.

Product Management 

  • Cross-functional collaboration with product management on new features and customer requests. 

  • Translate customer needs into technical requirements and viable solutions, then transform those requirements into actionable technical solutions.

System Design 

  • Design modular and flexible product architectures that enable easy modification and scalability.

  • Develop system layouts to incorporate customer feedback and support installation planning.

  • Create adaptable architectures that facilitate seamless expansion and future modifications.

Supplier Relationships 

  • Evaluate and communicate technical requirements with suppliers to identify and achieve the desired solutions.

Core Competencies 

  • Background in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, hardware design, or a similar technical field

  • Experience in design engineering in automation and/or imaging technologies.

  • Experience in organizing and coordinating cross-functional teams.

  • Experience in product development and design thinking.

  • You thrived in a fast-paced start-up environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability. 

  • Fluent English speaker, with German proficiency as a plus.
