Project Manager - Installations (f/m/d)
Start date: As soon as possible
Yearly Salary: €60,000 - €65,000 (fixed range, annual gross)
Equity: €10,000 - €30,000 in company shares
Benefits: up to €5,000 annually
Work Model: Full-time, hybrid (based in Munich)
Travel: Expect to travel to client locations approximately 40% of the time
Your role
As a Project Manager with a focus on Installations, you'll be the driving force behind the implementation and operation of our cutting-edge MRI machines, ensuring our technology is fully optimized for each customer's unique needs.
You'll be part of our Field Operations team and serve as the vital link between customer requirements and practical, on-the-ground implementations. You will collaborate closely with field engineers within your team and with our product and systems engineering teams, you will ensure projects are delivered on time and are expertly tailored to specific local conditions.
You'll also enhance internal processes by providing feedback from customer and internal team collaborations, fostering innovation and improving operational efficiency.
Your day-to-day
As the primary lead for site readiness and installation, you’ll manage site investigations, work with customers and suppliers, and ensure timelines with the other teams.
Your responsibilities include:
Develop and maintain installation roadmaps, adapting to changes as needed.
Travel across Europe (up to 40%), mainly in the DACH region, but also to locations such as the Netherlands, France, Norway, and Denmark.
Lead MRI and automation system installations, assessing local conditions and managing on-site implementation.
Coordinate schedules and technical requirements with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Act as the main contact from order income until installation, conducting site assessments and regular meetings with customers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure clear communication.
Proactively identify and address project risks, implement mitigation plans, and escalate critical issues when necessary.
Maintain project documentation and provide regular status updates and reports.

Experience and Skills:
2+ years of experience in project management, ideally in the installation of hardware equipment or machinery.
German and English fluency is required (C1 level).
EU Class B driver’s license required.
Strong hands-on attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Willingness and ability to travel to various European sites. Travel expenses are fully covered by the company.
Strong understanding of machinery installation processes, including site preparation, equipment setup, and troubleshooting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
Skilled in documenting roadmaps and installation schedules using effective visualization techniques.
What makes you stand out from other candidates
Experience in industrial automation, electrical engineering, or medical imaging machines.
Strong knowledge of industrial automation systems or electrical engineering practices.
Solid understanding of civil engineering principles and the use of relevant tools.
Comprehensive knowledge of electricity, structural mechanics (statics), construction, and water cooling systems.
Strong understanding of the physical principles underlying MRI technology.
Basic knowledge of the key hardware components involved in MRI scanning.
Experience in site planning and construction within industrial settings.
Proven track record in installing or building industrial automation systems, including robotics.
