Field Engineer
Starting date: January 2025
Compensation package: $82,500 - $89,375 in yearly salary, and $10,825.85 - $32,477.55 in equity.
Work model: Full-time, hybrid in Houston, Texas
Your role
As a System Integration Engineer / Field Engineer, you will take a hands-on approach to installing and maintaining our MRI scanning solutions at customer sites.
You will collaborate closely with our product, hardware, and software teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and adapted to local conditions.
You'll handle everything from system calibration to repairs, ensuring smooth operations while collaborating with teams to integrate innovative solutions. Plus, you'll be the go-to expert for on-site support and training.

Your day-to-day
As a critical liaison between the customer and Orbem, your work involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting MRI systems.
Your responsibilities include:
Evaluate local conditions, define site requirements for customer installations, and assure site readiness.
Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues and malfunctions, providing on-site solutions.
Install, test, and commission equipment, systems, or machinery at customer sites.
Test system performance and teach the customer safety, service, and operation.
Collaborate with product management on customer feedback and product improvement.
Coordinate with suppliers on onsite servicing, repair, or redesign.

Competencies, Experience, and Skills
You have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or something similar; the alternative is higher professional technical education.
Knowledge of the architecture of industrial automation systems and their components.
Strong understanding of electrical systems, statics, construction, and water-cooling technologies.
Strong communication skills and confidence when interacting with customers and suppliers, ensuring clear and effective collaboration.
Proactive problem-solver with a practical, hands-on approach, unafraid to take action and ownership to drive results.
Expertise in diagnosing technical issues, identifying root causes, and coordinating with the appropriate teams or specialists for resolution.
Customer-facing experience.
Willingness and ability to travel to various U.S sites, and you possess a valid U.S. driver’s license.
